In 2017, we secured planning consent for more than 1,600 new homes at Blindwells. Proposals for the 390-acre site include social housing, education facilities, a healthcare hub, local retail outlets and other services needed for a new community.

The purpose of the masterplan for Blindwells is to develop a well informed, integrated and creative solution for residential development on the site which has been identified within the East Lothian Local Plan for housing.

The masterplan accords with the measures set out within the Development Framework for the site, which has also been prepared by East Lothian Council.
