planning and concept development

Over the past 20 years we have worked with most of the local authorities in Scotland and have developed a breadth of knowledge of the planning process. We work with clients to advise on planning policy and help develop sites which satisfy planning aspirations whilst taking into account the commercial needs of our clients

In the past 12 months, we have presented to and engaged with numerous community councils, community groups and trusts and have coordinated community engagement events attended by almost 2,500 people.

We work collaboratively both within the office environment and with the wider project team to develop concepts and design ideas which are innovative, creative and well considered.

masterplanning

At ema we have developed an expertise in housing-led mixed-use master plans and are now at the forefront of mixed use Masterplanning in Scotland 

We work closely with landowners and promoters to create master plans which maximise their assets whilst creating well considered, integrated communities. 

We work with house-builders, developers, and local authorities to develop new communities which reflect our core values. Creating well designed places and spaces which compliment the buildings within them.

As well as our strengths in planning we have a strong technical team who work hard to develop our conceptual ideas and planning aspirations into well detailed buildings which make a positive impact on Scotland built environment.
