The site lies on the northern edge of Elgin, which is the largest town within the Moray Distict. ema were engaged by the landowners and the local authority to create a new vision and masterplan for the site which would inform future planning applications.

The new masterplan reflects the grid of Elgin’s more historic areas and provides a new school site, new park and opportunities for commercial development. The site and layout are also well connected to public transport routes, the cycle network and the surrounding core footpaths.

The development of the masterplan at Findrassie has the potential to significantly improve the northern edge and approaches into Elgin from the north.

The masterplan was adopted as supplementary guidance in 2016 and the first phases of development will soon be underway.
